the bed was indeed comfortable.
the bathroom was quite dated. the toilet flush was difficult to manage, and the hot tap dripped constantly. the light switches controlled both a light and a very noisy fan.

The breakfast was well cooked.
The room REEKED of damp, I could barely breathe. There was also a stain on the bathroom floor. The room felt dated and needed a FULL refurbishment. This place is in need of SERIOUS attention!

the room opened directly to the courtyard, a nice feature since i had my dog with me.
I found the television in the room quite small. It seemed out of proportion. at breakfast, i was told i couldn't order the salmon because i was attending a wedding. it felt mean, especially as i had paid for bed and breakfast for two nights.. that restriction didn't enhance the experience.

Heather was super friendly and cute upon arrival. the room opened right onto the courtyard. It was very handy since i had my dog. the food was really really good. I had the pate for starters, and it was so good! i also slept well as the area was very peaceful.
the garden borders could use some extra tlc. first impressions matter a lot, so sprucing up the garden would make the entrance even more cute (it is a very small detail though!).

the staff was friendly and helpful. carenza and matthew, the restaurant managers, were attentive. they ensured all guests felt comfortable and well looked after .

Breakfast and dinner were served in eve's bar. this area is dog friendly and provides a lovely view. the food was of a very high standard. I thought there was also plenty of choice.

i stayed in the farmhouse building. the room was a very good size and clean. there was a well stocked refreshments tray and toiletries selection in the bathroom (very convenient). breakfast was well cooked.
the hotel is down a lane, this does make it a very quiet location, but phone signal can be a bit patchy in certain areas.
